The Signal would like to announce a partnership with TurlockCityNews.com, a local online news source that provides the city of Turlock with stories relevant to every-day life.
Since 2005 the news source has worked to keep Turlockers informed and updated on all daily news, local events and anything that could impact the community.
TurlockCityNews.com is now the city’s most popular news source, reaching more than 270,000 unique visitors each month.
TurlockCityNews.com is locally owned and published by David “DJ” Fransen, a Turlock Native.
Our newspaper, The Signal, serves the community of California State University, Stanislaus on a weekly basis during the academic year, with the exception of holidays and vacation breaks.
In addition to our print version of the paper, we also update our website, csusignal.com, daily.
We are a student-run paper publishing timely news that directly benefits and informs the campus community, and more importantly generates a voice for the student body.
The two news sources are teaming up to only strengthen our continuous efforts: To benefit, update and inform readers by making available a broader variety of timely, community news.
The Signal will now run some TurlockCityNews.com articles each week, giving our readers a better look into citywide issues which we may not have otherwise covered.
Similarly, TurlockCityNews.com will run some articles penned by The Signal, giving general citizens a first-person view into the campus community.
TurlockCityNews.com will have a tab on their website for The Signal’s articles and vice versa.
In addition, TurlockCityNews.com’s articles will periodically appear in the print version of The Signal.
All articles will be clearly labeled to indicate their origin, and to credit the writer.
The Signal makes all decisions with forethought of our audience.
As we grow and evolve as a paper over time, our readers will continue to be our number one priority.
