At the Art Space On Main located at 135 West Main St. in Turlock many great local and faculty artists get to share their talent with the community. Today, March 5 at 5:30p.m., kicks off a new exhibit featuring California State University, Stanislaus sculpture instructor, Daniel Edwards.
This is the second solo faculty show that the Art Space On Main has hosted since its September 2014 opening. Currently, artwork displayed in exhibits are not available for purchase, but this is something that the Art Space hopes to bring to the community in the near future.
Today, local art lovers can catch the talented Daniel Edwards as he presents his art in two rooms of the gallery. His artwork ranges from 2D and 3D images to sculptures and will be accompanied by an artist talk at 6 p.m.
Administrative Assistant at the Art Space, Hannah Noonan, described Edwards’s work as social commentary through the use of well-known figures in popular culture.
Edwards’s work will also be accompanied by video art by local artist, Enid Baxtar Ryae. Two videos will be viewed throughout the evening and will add to the diverse environment the Art Space brings to the community.
This event is free of charge and open to the public and this exhibit will be featured at the Art Space March 5 through May 1. The gallery is open Monday through Thursday 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and Thursday through Saturday 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
