TURLOCK – The California State University, Stanislaus softball team swept California State University, San Bernardino in the doubleheader this past Friday 9-6 and 6-4.
In Game 1, Vanessa Del Toro went 2 for 4 with two RBI while Rachel Borges went 1 for 3 with three RBI for Stanislaus.
Courtney Wilhelms went 2 for 4 with one run and two RBI while Alyssa Flores and Felicia Cervantes both went 3 for 4 with Flores gaining a run for San Bernardino.
Wilhelms (3-7) took the loss for San Bernardino while Brittani Weatherford (6-7) took the win.
In the nightcap for Friday’s doubleheader, Jordan Flora went 2 for 3 with one run and one RBI for Stanislaus.
Borges went 1 for 3 with one run also for the Warriors.
Alex Mitchell went 2 for 3 with one run for San Bernardino.
Carly Land (3-6) took the loss for San Bernardino while Stanislaus’ Kiley Mendez (2-2) picked up the second win.
The Stanislaus Warriors are now 11-20 overall and 4-8 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
