Fall includes delicious sweet treats, warm rich colors, sweaters with scarves, beautiful changing scenery and decorating! Fall is here and that means if your home is decorated with pineapples, discounted Fourth of July knick knacks, or other summer themes, GET RID!
Students living in the dorms, renting, or living at home should be comfortable knowing that there is always an opportunity to make your living space reflect your personal taste. Whether your decorating style is identified as modern, traditional, shaker, or retro there are many affordable ways to decorate for this Fall season.
Halloween is a highly popular decorating theme for the fall season. However, if you do not celebrate or care for skeletons and tombstones in your front yard, you can always utilize pumpkins for the front porch.  I personally like minimalistic decorating. It doesn’t hurt that it’s the most affordable too! By simply adding a neutral colored table cloth to your dining table, candles and some table fillers you can dress up the dining room to impress.
Some students might be content with being as simple as using a fragrance device, such as a candle or wall plug in to give the smell of fall. If you like to really go all out though, don’t settle for minimal change. Some people like to make modifications such as changing artwork according to season, colors of their serving dishes and purchase some new fancy drinkware.
Art projects are one simple way to decorate while also allowing you to spend time with your loved ones. One of my favorite art projects is making leaves out of coffee filters. Simply cut out the coffee filter in the shape of a leaf, add different colors of food-dye (or water soluble markers), spray the coffee filter with water and presto, you’ve got fall leaves!

For those of us who express our creativity through forms of art, creating your own seasonal decorating pieces might seem effortless and fun.
