Gabriel Bolton, head coach of women’s soccer accomplishes 150 wins at California State University Stanislaus, (Stan State).
“I am very proud of our success on the field. It is important to note that nobody accomplishes anything on their own. I’ve been very fortunate to coach amazing student-athletes and work with outstanding athletic director’s, assistant coaches, athletic trainers, and support staff ” Bolton states.
Coach Bolton became head coach of Stan State’s women’s soccer in 2006. When Bolton started originally coaching in 2001 the Women’s Soccer program had won a total of three games over the course of three years.
Now the women’s soccer program is undefeated and hopes to keep that streak alive!
“This is my 13th season as head coach, when you are younger you define the job in terms of winning and losing. As I’ve evolved over the years I’ve discovered that the true joy of working with college athletes comes in the connections made and in my ability to hopefully impact their lives in a positive way” Bolton expresses.
Coach Bolton has high hopes to win a national championship for our women’s soccer team in the near future.
The women’s soccer program has not only evolved tremendously over the years though the game of soccer but through the growth of student athletes as well.
Coach Bolton stated that in his 13 years of coaching they have graduated every player that has gone through the program!
”The best part of this job is the people. Our student-athletes, faculty, staff, and administration truly make Stan State an incredible place to coach” Bolton says.
