As the semester falls to a end, a spike in crimes occurs.
Sexual Battery
On May 15th, there was an offense of sexual battery at the library. The current disposition of the case is closed by arrest.
The broad definition of sexual battery is defined by the Merriam Webster Dictionary as “forced or coerced contact with the sexual parts of either the victim or the perpetrator.”
However, the specific elements and definitions vary from state to state.
Petty Theft
There was a petty theft at the Student Recreation Center on May 17th. The current disposition of the case is suspended, and the offense occurred from 1:25-2:03pm.
Non Aggravated Battery
There was an arrest made at the Mary Stuart Rogers building on May 18th for non aggravated battery. The current disposition of the case is closed by arrest.
