This is the first year that the Signal has ever organized a food drive.
The help of the students and faculty by contributing is necessary. This food drive will help families in need during the holidays.
In return, the Signal is offering a “Signal Gram!”, that donors can dedicate to a loved one. The gram includes a holiday greeting of their choice. These grams will be included in the December print edition.
All of the proceeds will be donated to the United Samaritans Foundation, located in Turlock, California. They will be hosting a dinner from a food truck at various stops on December 24, Christmas Eve.
The United Samaritans serve this community five days a week in several locations from this food truck.
The food donation location is in the DBH building P125. The Signal will be collecting canned and boxed food items until December 9, 2019.
