For CSU Stanislaus students, mid-May means the spring semester is coming to an end. While summer vacation and graduation are around the corner, there is no escaping final exams.
Anxious students are preparing for their final tests and each and every one of them has at least one final they are worried about.
Rebecca Sobrevilla (Senior, Communication Studies) expresses she is stressed about her Gender Theory final. She says, “I have to sit down and write a 5-page paper when I already have so much other stuff going on. That’s what’s getting to my head a little bit.”
According to a national student survey by National University, 90% of students admit to procrastinating on assignments and with finals approaching the habit is at its peak.
Celia Havkett (Graduate Student, Social Work) shares, “The final I am dreading the most is my child abuse paper. I haven’t started it yet.
While the subjects vary, a common theme runs through each response: final exams bring challenges.
Everyone handles finals differently, but one thing is clear, Stanislaus State students are doing what they can to cross the finish line with confidence.
