The University Bookstore gets ready to celebrate the 56th graduating class of California State University, Stanislaus (Stan State) with their annual Grad Fair starting April 12-14 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
Grad Fair is an opportunity for Stan State students to purchase their undergraduate or master’s cap and gown as well as having a one-on-one opportunity of meeting with different vendors. Balfour rings, graduation announcement and diploma frame representative and Stan State’s Alumni Association attended this year’s Grad Fair.
Stan State students can take advantage of the temporary 10 percent discount on diploma frames until April 14. The Bookstore is drawing a diploma frame (Churchill Classic Masterpiece model) to a lucky Stan State graduating student. The drawing began today and will be open until the last day of Grad Fair.
Students have the opportunity of purchasing other items such as shirts, coffee mugs, license plates, vehicle decals, hoodies and much more.
After Grad Fair is over, the Bookstore will continue selling graduation cap and gown until the official day of graduation.
Bookstore employee and Stan State alumni Rebecca Crisanti (Communication Studies) has experienced working the annual event for five years.
“My favorite thing about Grad Fair is watching the excitement from all the students,” Crisanti said. “We are such a small campus that you know most of the people that you are graduating with. It gives you that closeness and the sense that this Stan State is our home.”
