Associated Students Inc. (ASI) and the University Student Union (USU) are projecting a variety of events this semester in order to keep our student body connected, informed and feeling good.
This is an opportunity for students to feel involved while having the chance to win free stuff and save money.
ASI & USU hosted a “Stay Connected” with social media marketing event on Feb. 21 during the weekly “Warriors in the Quad”. This event included a photo booth, free cupcakes and a giveaway with $600 in prizes up for grabs.
Francisco Jimenez, ASI Graphic Designer, presented at this particular event.
“This is the easiest way for students to stay connected to what’s going on and take a break from busy class schedules to enjoy free food and prizes”, Jimenez said.
The Loop giveaway was organized via Instagram and included prizes such as Beats by Dre and a $80 Starbucks gift card perfect for late night study sessions.
In order to enter the Loop giveaway, students were required to follow six participating departments on Instagram and leave a comment on the photo tagging two friends.
Some of the other weekly events that support student involvement include: “Monday Pick Me Up” hosted every Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the USU, and “Warriors in the Quad” hosted every Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the quad.
Be sure to follow ASI and USU on all social media outlets in order to stay up-to-date on new events, free prizes and other relevant information.
The ASI and USU Spring Events Calendar for 2016 can be accessed within the USU building or Warrior Activities Center (WAC) during their office hours.
