The college radio station KCSS at California State University, Stanislaus (Stan State), is hosting their third annual Trick or Beat concert at the Grizzly Rock Café and Grill in Turlock on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 6:30 p.m.
The lineup includes bands from Turlock, Ceres, and San Francisco. The concert will featured artists Banjo and the Basement Dwellers, 87, and Night Rider.
This will be the third annual Trick or Beat concert since the event was started in 2014 by Angelina Moles, the KCSS Promotion Director at that time.
“KCSS hosts concerts to feature and expose local musicians to students and the community,” the current KCSS Promotions Director, Chloe Lefler said.
KCSS invites the community to come listen to the local artists at an event that promotes awareness of the college radio station.
Lefler chose artists whose music is popular on KCSS and in Turlock.
“They have had songs in popular rotation at our station and have a fan base within the community,” Lefler said.
All four bands are on Facebook and, with the exception of Koppel, can be found on Bandcamp as well.
Trick or Beat will be held at the Grizzly Rock Café and Grill located at 4905 N. Golden State Blvd., Turlock, CA 95382. Admittance is free, but donations are encouraged to support future events, as the station is a non-profit organization.
Don’t forget to tune into KCSS 91.9 FM to support the Stan State college radio station.
