The campus group Stand Together, hosted their event Stand Together Against Sexual Assault on Wednesday, April 18, 2018.The event was created to create awareness about sexual assault and discuss resources available on campus and in the county. Stand together invited members of the community to help put on this presentation. The campus victim advocate, Miriam Moreno, attended and explained her role on campus. She also discussed some of the future upcoming events. Counselors from psychological counseling services at stan state also attended to share their resources with students. Chief Clint Strode and Sargeant Cheri Silveira spoke at this event and discussed the role they play on campus when it comes to sexual assault. Judge Linda Mcfadden who is a judge in Stanislaus County and a former district attorney also discussed her experiences working on sexual assault cases.
