The Spring & Fall Turlock Auto Swap Meet invites everyone to an event filled with food vendors, automotive parts, and hundreds of classic cars. This event is hosted monthly from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Stanislaus County Fairgrounds.
This event gives everybody a chance to promote their businesses and display their valuable classic cars. Classic car enthusiasts park their unique rides in the designated show area for everybody to admire. Local food trucks roll into the event to provide delicious food and refreshing drinks to all of the attendees. Participants also have the opportunity to set up their own booths to sell items of any kind. This swap meet offers a wide variety of automotive parts, tools, toys, clothing and miscellaneous items that people may find interesting.
Andrew Hernandez, a local swap meet seller, sells rare Hot Wheels in his booth. He shares his personal motivations of selling at swap meets and promotes everything this event has to offer to the community.
“I just been coming out here a lot with my dad, and he’s the one that began selling, and I just started doing this, and it just feels good,” he said. “You could also just walk and look, I know there’s a lot of cars, classics, and there’s food too and all that.”
Cindy Hernandez, another local swap meet seller, sells collectible cars and assorted household items with her husband. She enjoys meeting new people, and encourages others to attend these swap meets because there’s interesting items for everybody to find.
“Meeting new people, and you also find different things. If you’re really into cars, you’ll find a variety of things, anywhere from old and vintage to new and modern,” she said.
