CSU Stanislaus invited friends and family to attend Warrior Expo, an event that showcased the Warrior Spirit to the community. Future students gained the opportunity to immerse themselves into the college experience, and current students learned about different programs that they may be interested in.
The Warrior Expo featured a mix of food, games, music, prizes, and engaging programs for everyone to enjoy.
Vanessa Valencia, a student alumni, explored Warrior Expo with her best friend. She believes that Warrior Expo is a fun experience, and advises students to learn more about the community at Stanislaus State.
“So I do recommend new students to come before, they experience the Stan State family. Also, you see the kind of community that they build here, and it’s true. We are a family as one,” Valencia said.
Jennifer Daniels, the Stan State Sustainability Specialist, recommends the community in Central Valley to immerse themselves in the Warrior Spirit.
“Absolutely. Warrior Expo is for everyone. You know, we want to be part of the community here in Turlock, in the Central Valley. We think everyone should come and see what Stan State is all about, see our spirit, and see what kind of programs we have,” Daniels said.
Adan Cortes, a current student, stands in his resource table to inform the visitors about the Stan State campus newspaper, “The Signal.” He encourages everyone to attend Warrior Expo to explore the diverse programs the campus has to offer.
“I think they should attend the Warrior Expo because they get to see a lot of different options there is in college, for Stan State. Like clubs and such things,” Cortes said.
