This is a message for all those 21 and over: before you make plans to go to the infamous Chico Halloween parties this weekend, consider going to the Red Brick Bar & Grill in Turlock.
Red Brick will host its free-entry, annual Halloween party on Oct. 26. from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. With drink specials, DJ Jimmy Jimmy playing the top 40 hits, Xhale hookah and a costume contest, there will be plenty of fun throughout the night.
The costume contest will begin at 10 p.m. There will be cash prices for the top three costumes. Be creative and have fun with your costume – you could possibly win some cash. It is not required to be in a costume, but it is highly recommended. You don’t want to be the only one without one.
The Red Brick emphasizes the importance of being a safe, fun and social bar scene. They have around seven to eight bouncers at night. The bouncers are there to make sure things do not get out of hand. People who attend the party will be able to enjoy themselves without having to worry about things getting ugly and heated – all that should be heated that night are the outdoor tents.
“There have not been any problems here,” Benita Oshana, Event Coordinator, said as a testament to their safety. “Nothing bad has happened before.”
The Red Brick enjoys hosting these parties because they are a tradition and they bring people together in a safe environment.
Red Brick opened its doors on March 1, 2009 and has since has grown into a successful hangout. You can get your grub on from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Wednesday through Saturday. After 10 p.m., once the dance floor opens, you can get your shimmy on. You can get tacos and enjoy drink specials as well.
According to their website, “Red Brick is becoming a hot spot for drinking, dancing, food and fun.”
Business hours are Wednesday through Friday: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Saturday: 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. The bar is located on 153 S. Broadway here in Turlock. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the Red Brick Bar & Grill at 209-667-1561.
