Las Casuelas owners plan to open a new, upscale Mexican food restaurant, Memo’s Cocina and Tequila Bar, in Downtown Turlock come June.
Owners Karina and Guillermo Ramirez, who operate four additional local Mexican food restaurants, are offering a unique taste on Memo’s menu.
“Memo’s wants to bring more of an upscale city feel to the valley and incorporate locally grown produce from the Turlock Farmers Market in our hand-crafted cocktails and entrees,” Guillermo Ramirez said.
Guests should expect traditional Mexican cuisine with a twist. The new restaurant hopes to provide all of the flavors a trained palette should expect from a Mexican food joint minus all of the calories.
Memo’s is centering its menu on just that – healthy, but traditional, Mexican food.
Along with creative food options comes the second part of Memo’s name: tequila bar.
Customers will be able to choose from, and enjoy, a variety of 70 high-end, artisan tequilas. For those of you who aren’t super into the hard stuff, Memo’s also plans to serve wine on tap.
The atmosphere plans to be promising as well with a lounge area and dining that can seat up to 100 guests.
California State University, Stanislaus students should look forward to receiving a 10 percent discount when they dine at the restaurant and present their student ID card.
Follow Memo’s on Instagram at MemosCocina and visit the restaurant when it opens at its downtown location: 139 W. Main St.
