The amphitheater was crowded with eager California State University, Stanislaus Warriors as they waited for The White Panda to take the stage at Stan Fest.
The concert featured electronic dance music, attracting a large and new crowd of students this year. It even lasted half an hour longer than planned. Students danced and sang on the lawn, sharing glow sticks and good vibes throughout the night.
“I think they are liking the music,” Giselle Montoya, ASI Special Events Coordinator, said. “I really enjoy it and I think it is something different. A lot of people came.”
The White Panda selected popular songs for students to sing and dance along to. Though the songs on the playlists varied in genres, they were all upbeat. Warriors dressed in bright neon colors, adding a splash of color and light to the concert.
While the crowd was smaller than previous years, the concert created a friendly environment for those who attended to enjoy. The atmosphere was one for the books, living on as an enjoyable memory for those who attended and await for next year’s Stan Fest concert.
“This music is very universal and welcoming to anyone,” Reynaldo Alsaro (junior, Business Administration) said. “I love it.”
