On Sept 24, the Associated Student Inc. (ASI) and University Student Union (USU) are hosting the Made in the CSU event held in the Event Center from 12 to 1:30 p.m.
Made in the CSU is an informational open forum for all students.
“Last year it had a great turnout and was a success,” Mariam Salameh, ASI President, said. “Students and the campus community reacted positively to the movement, and were surprised of the huge impact the CSU System has on the economy.”
This year, ASI and USU will discuss higher education funding, changes in financial aid and student loans.
“For every $1 invested in the CSU by the state, the CSU returns $5.43 in the economic impact,” Salameh said. “The 23 campuses of the CSU graduate 100,000 students per year, generate $17 billion in economic activity, sustain 150,000 jobs and are the most ethnically diverse universities in the country.”
All students who attend will receive a free lunch and will be entered into a raffle to win Made in the CSU gear.
