Stan State students were recently asked about their music preferences and shared some recommendations. Their music tastes were very diverse, ranging from indie pop, reggaeton, metal core, rap and R&B.
Victor Zepeda (junior, Mathematics) shared his favorite music genre and go-to band.
“My favorite genre is, I would say, metal core and my favorite band is Ice Nine Kills,” he said.
Vivian Balcazar (senior, Biology) and Kimberly Camarena (junior, Biology) both have a shared interest in the artist known as The Weeknd. The Weeknd does not have a specific music genre style, however, he could be classified as R&B or hip-hop. Some of his most popular songs are “Blinding Lights” and “Save Your Tears.”
Laurel Mitchell (senior, Biology) shared her love for all realms of alternative music such as indie and classic rock. She also shared some music artists she has been listening to recently such as Fleetwood Mac and Gorgon City.
Balcazar and Mitchell were very excited to share with the campus some of their favorite Spotify playlists:
