If you have ever walked through the first floor of the new Student Center at Stanislaus State, you may have noticed a large kitchen area that has never been used.
The kitchen area features television screens for potential menus, pots, pans, refrigerators, microwaves and more. All of these brand new items have gone nearly untouched for the nearly two years, which was when the Student Center first opened to the campus community.
According to Hector A. of the Student Center support desk, the dining area will finally be put to use during the fall 2022 semester. This new dining option, which is named the Red Wave, is expected to serve sushi, pasta and other items.
As of now, the Red Wave remains dark and is one of three campus dining options that are currently closed to the campus community, joining Warrior Grill and Shake Smart, both also located within the Student Center. Warrior Grill and Shake Smart are both expected to reopen in March.
Chartwells Higher Education Dining Services, which is responsible for all dining services at Stanislaus State, is actively hiring. If you are interested in applying, you can submit an application here.
Campus community members are also encouraged to go to https://dineoncampus.com/csustan/ to keep up to date with the latest operation hours for current Stan State dining locations.
