Know someone thinking of applying to Stanislaus State? Show them your Warrior pride by bringing them to Warrior Expo!
Warrior Expo is a great way to experience Stan State by exploring academic programs and meeting with faculty.
Warrior Expo will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22 with check-in at Demergasso-Bava Hall plaza upon arrival. Students are encouraged to register for the event to enjoy all the entertainment that will be offered.
“The Social Media Workgroup from the Communications and Public Affairs team will be taking photos, videos and conducting brief interviews of current and prospective students,” says Kristina Stamper, director of communications and creative services.
Stamper added that the morning session will highlight information and resources for prospective students and their families, including information about academic programs, as well as faculty and staff, for social media, university news and marketing content.
The event will allow incoming freshman applicants to find out on the spot if they are admitted. Prospective students who are pre-registered to attend the event will have their information used to determine Fall 2023 eligibility and won’t need to provide further paperwork at the Warrior Expo.
Stan State’s radio station, KCSS, will be playing live music with DJ Swankeee. Matias Garza (senior, Communications), has been regularly DJing on Warrior Wednesday‘s in the quad at Stan State.
“Engaging with an audience is one of my favorite parts of being a DJ,” Garza said. “I look forward to Warrior Expo and engaging with fellow Warriors.”
Garza will be playing music that is appealing to a wide audience such as Top 40, Reggaeton, Hip Hop, and R&B. Activities to enjoy will include food, caricatures, inflatables, photo booths, and life size lawn games.
Hannah Sawyer, ASI marketing services coordinator, said they are partnering with the campus to encourage current and prospective students to attend.
“We are supporting campus communications/marketing by reposting and sharing Warrior Expo details on our social media,” Sawyer said.
She added that ASI is promoting the event with digital signage in the Student Center.
The campus wide event is being promoted by different departments to get prospective warriors and current students involved. Don’t forget to register for an exclusive cozy giveaway by being one of the first 500 Stan State students to register and attend.
