Here’s what Fu had to say in his interview with The Signal about his teaching background and how his research style pairs with his teaching purpose.
Q: Will you tell me a little bit about your teaching background?
A: Washington State is where I got my PhD and taught six semesters. I taught auditing, intermediate, and managerial accounting.
Q: What would you like students to know about your teaching style?
A: My general style is teaching real world examples. I also do not use PowerPoint slides.
Q: Will you tell me a little bit about your research background?
A: Before I started my PhD program, I was an auditor. I do research auditing where my research focuses on auditor’s risk.
Q: What would you like the Stan State community to know about your research?
A: I enjoy the process of helping my students be successful. I am a first-generation college student as well.
