As we near Spring Break, CSU Stanislaus students have much to share about their Spring semester so far, such as their experiences with their favorites courses and the events that they are excited about.

There have been various campus activities such as Warrior Wednesdays, Career and Public Safety Fairs, and more. As this Spring term continues, there will be more events available to students.
Matthew Valverde (Senior, Creative Media) talked about how his semester has been unfolding.
“My Spring semester classes so far have been straightforward and pretty easy. I can’t ask for much more as a Senior,” said Valverde.
Valverde mentioned how his Visual Arts Internship is a particular favorite.
Kristina Solomita (Senior, Creative Media) expressed her views. Her class assignments have been straight forward despite being difficult.
“The individual assignments themselves are pretty straightforward. The hardest part about them is just like all of them sort of overlapping. So it’s like they’re easy to do but it’s just getting them done in time to turn them in,” said Solomita.
Solomita also shared that her favorite class is one that is actually not directly related to her major, which is a creative non-fiction course.

She explained that she enjoyed focusing more on being able to write for leisure. Solomita got to explore more writing elements this way, and was able to changed her perspective on the importance of communicating stories.
“I think that also relates back to my major because a huge part of it is learning how to communicate and it’s sort of teaching me how to communicate in a way that’s concise, so quick, but also meaningful,” said Solomita.
Solomita is looking forward to attending the Cal State Create event where they will have multiple workshops available to talk about new technology that is involved with creation and design.
Eli Bravo (Sophomore, Creative Media) from Theta Chi fraternity shared that this Spring semester has been manageable.
“They’re going great actually. I’m doing very great in them,” said Bravo.
Bravo has been to a few events this semester so far and is excited for Warrior Day as well.
“I just want a lot of people to go; just have a good one,” said Bravo.
Refer to the Warrior Life page to find out about more events occurring on campus. Also, refer to the academic year calendar for 2023-2024, to check for important dates revolving around this current Spring semester, 2024.
