Academic and Creative Talents Showcased at Stan State’s 38th Annual Research Competition

Stanislaus State University recently wrapped up its 38th Annual Student Research Competition, a significant event that shows off its students’ hard work and creativity. Sponsored by the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, this competition allows students to dive into independent research with some guidance from faculty advisors.
Not only do participants get hands-on experience, but they also receive financial rewards that can catch the eye of future employers when added to their CV.
For nearly four decades, this event has been a launchpad for students who want to take their research to the statewide level, where they can meet and exchange ideas with peers from other CSU campuses.
Up to ten talented students will get to move onto the statewide competition this year, putting Stanislaus State’s research endeavors into the spotlight.
The impact of this competition is significant. Faculty members often talk about how it transforms both students and mentors. It pushes students to go deeper into their subjects, which can lead them to pursue higher degrees like Master’s or Ph. D.s, helped by the competition’s exposure and networking opportunities.
And it’s not just a research challenge. It’s more like a party celebrating all the hard work and dedication these academics put in, even when juggling classes, work, and family life.
