Presented by the University Student Union’s Social Awareness Program and Code Red Entertainment, Pride Week 2015 will be held March 23 through March 27.
Pride events around the world have given people of all sexual orientations the opportunity to come together in a public space to celebrate. One of the most popular Pride events, San Francisco Pride, is celebrating their 45th year of Pride festivities this year.
The USU Social Awareness Program hopes to promote diverse thinking, social justice and strengthen the college experience at CSU Stanislaus. The Social Awareness Program functions through the help of USU student assistants and Code Red Entertainment members.
Students and faculty can look forward to the the events planned to celebrate pride at CSU Stanislaus and can participate in many different events on campus.
On March 24 students can attend guest speaker Ashton Lee’s presentation in the event center from 12-1 p.m. On March 25, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., you can join in the Pride Parade in the quad and March 26 in the event center from 6-8 p.m. you can participate in the Drag Show.
Participating in the Pride Parade with a float or in the Drag Show as a participant will give you a chance to win great prizes from USU.
