Men’s Basketball:
The Warrior men’s basketball team has advanced to the semi final round of the CCAA Tournament at the Stockton Arena and will face off against bitter rival, and top tournament seed, Chico State. The Warriors will lean on the balanced attack and leadership from seniors Rob Walters, Shey Mataele and Chris Read all of whom were part of last year’s CCAA Championship team. Their game against Chico State is scheduled to tip-off March 6 at 5:35 p.m. and if they advance could end up playing for the title March 7 at 7:35 p.m.
Baseball:
The Warrior baseball team will be on the move this weekend as they face off against CCAA rival Cal State Monterey Bay in a four-game series. The first game will take place on the road as Stanislaus will take their talents to Seaside, CA for a 3 p.m. matchup March 13. They will then come back home for games two and three of the series March 14-15. They will head back to Seaside to wrap up the series March 16 and hopefully finish their road trip with consecutive wins.
Softball:
The Warrior softball team will be looking to keep their two-game win streak going as they are scheduled to take on Chico State March 6 and Sat. March 7 in a four game series. After lighting up Academy of Art University for 15 runs in two games, the Warriors will be looking to exact their revenge on the Wildcats as they lost the series against Chico last season three games to one. An important series in what is still an early season for the Warrior softball team.
Track and Field:
Our track and field team will be home at the Al Brenda Track at Warrior Stadium for the Kim Duyst Invitational March 7. Field events will start at 9 a.m. Saturday morning with the women’s hammer throw, while the track events will start at 10:30 a.m. with the women’s 3000 meter steeplechase. Tennis:
The Warrior Tennis team will be on the go for most of the coming weekend. First, they will travel to Grossmont College in San Diego to take on the Griffins March 7. From there they will take a short trip over to La Jolla to take on the Tritons of UC San Diego. Finally, they will wrap up their week with a home matchup against their Pac West rivals Notre Dame De Namur. The power-house doubles team of sophomores J’ana Diamond and Jessica Laurie will look to continue their impressive play against a tough Argonaut team.
