Once upon a time, people believed that happily ever afters were the perfect ending to their stories.
That’s fine, so long as they don’t confuse this with reality because fairy tales belong in books and movies today.
But in reality, there are those who believe that destiny, faith and love will guide them to their happy endings.
Instead of meeting their prince charming on a white, perfectly built horse carrying a sword, they see him driving by in a black Mustang holding his iPhone, but he passes right by them without realizing they were standing there.
However, there are always exceptions. So let’s say that he sees her this time as he rides by.
He opens the door of his Mustang for her to get in (and makes sure she doesn’t dirty his car), carries her so that she won’t accidentally step in the mud and tells her that he will never ever let go… these are some of the signs in most “true stories” indicating that there is not going to be a wedding at the palace.
Prince Charming’s horse does not have a door and does not get all dirty, he rides through pathways where there is no mud and the fields are filled with flowers, and he will never ever say “I will never ever let you go” but instead, will prove that to her by holding her forever and ever.
It’s too good to be true.
This does not mean that people can’t fall in love—but they need to make sure that butterfly feelings are caused by real butterflies and not moths trying to escape.
Yet, what this may mean is that the romantic guy in the movie is just an actor embodying the characteristics of the perfect guy—the fantasy of many women. Ladies, wake up it’s just a dream and make sure you turn your page to the chapter of reality.
After all, the pumpkin does not magically turn into a carriage in real life.
