Attention poker enthusiasts, Associated Student Inc. (ASI) will host a Texas Hold’Em tournament on April 21 in the Event Center.
Sign ups for the tournament started last Monday and will be open to the first 100 students. Signing up only requires a student ID and is free of charge. The tournament will start at noon on April 21 and run until a champion is declared.
Prizes will be for the top three players as follows; first will receive a 40” flat screen TV, second will receive a home surround sound system and third will receive a $50 gift card to BJ’s Restaurant.
This year will bring some new changes to the tournament. There will be ten players assigned to ten tables, each with a dealer from the intramural staff trained by professionals from the Turlock Poker Room. The game will be standard two decks, no limit. Water will be provided for the participants. Food will not be provided so be sure to bring some snacks.
