CARSON- Sophomore Lauren Godde was monstrous Friday night as she led the California State University Stanislaus Warriors to a win over the California State University, Dominguez Hills Toros 64-61.
This is the fifth straight game that the Warriors have taken from the Toros as the last win the Warriors had was against this same team on January 14. This game ended their 8 game losing streak making Stanislaus now 6-17 overall and 3-16 in conference play.
Godde, who plays center, had a double-double with a game high of 15 points and a career high, 19 rebounds, 17 of those defensively. This is the third straight game that Godde has had double digits in rebounding and 12 for the season.
The Warriors were down to their final five players as Jameiz Terrell and Rosa Tirado fouled out. Terrell knocked in 13 points while Erin Godde chipped in 10 points. Devin Brown also scored 10 points for Stanislaus.
There wasn’t a single Toro who had more than six rebounds as Stanislaus out-rebounded Cal State Dominguez Hills 40-33.
