After being honored as one of 25 women who have made a difference in the world of higher education by exhibiting leadership while tackling it’s most difficult challenges, Dr. Ellen Junn will be inaugurated as California State University, Stanislaus’ (Stan State) 11th president.
According to the University website, Dr. Junn has been working in the California State University (CSU) System for 31 years. She has held various leadership and educational roles. Dr. Junn will be the Stan State’s second female president, following former Stan State President Marvalene Hughes.
The ceremony is open to the public and it will be held from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Fitzpatrick Arena on March 30th, followed by a reception at Main Dining Hall.
Anyone attending the event can make donations for the Presidential Fund for Regional Partnership Development that will go towards scholarships and other University programs.
