Mothers Day is creeping up around the corner and some local businesses are opening their doors to help you celebrate the most important woman in your life.
Pageo Lavender Farm in Turlock will be having their 8th annual Mothers Day event on May 14th from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in the afternoon.
This Mothers Day event started back in 2010 with around 50 to 100 people attending the event and this year Pageo Lavender Farm is expecting to have about 300 people in attendance.
The evening will be hosting an open gift shop, live bluegrass music and a masseuse for neck and back massages.
Mustard Seed Catering will be serving a lavender inspired lunch which will consist of lavender lemon herb chicken, pesto pasta with sundries tomatoes, spinach and berry salad, fresh fruit salad with mint, dinner rolls with butter and lavender cookies and mimosas.
A kids menu will also be available.
“For women it’s just really a very fun event,” George Kapor, a co-owner of Pageo said.
“It’s interesting because the first year we had ‘x’ amount of tables set up but, not enough tables because we thought people would come, they would eat, and they would leave. The problem was that they came and they didn’t leave,” Kapor said.
Shauna Peterson, who has been the lead coordinator and caterer for Mustard Seed Catering for thirteen years says, “It’s a very stress-free, casual but, elegant event for moms. To just come and enjoy the atmosphere.”
For adults, it is $40 each and $15 per child. Two and under are free.
The farm is located at 11573 Golf Road in Turlock.
