Good news Turlock residents and students of California State University, Stanislaus (Stan State), the popular burger chain The Habit Burger Grill has set foot in Turlock and is ready to cook up some juicy charred-burgers.

The burger chain opened earlier this summer and has added its mark to the Monte Vista Crossings center. The Habit Burger is located on 2671 Countryside Dr., right next to Buffalo Wild Wings. It is only seven minutes away from Stan State.

The hours of business are Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 a.m., and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

According to the Habit Burger Grill’s website, “The Habit was named the ‘best tasting burger in America’ in July 2014 in a comprehensive survey conducted by one of America’s leading consumer magazines. The first Habit opened in Santa Barbara, California in 1969. The Habit has since grown to over 190 restaurants in 10 states.” And now we have our very own Habit Burger Grill right here in Turlock.

“The Habit is right by the school, it’s cheap,convenient, and a great meal! I would recommend The Habit to anyone!” Crystal Cabrales (Senior/Criminal Justice) said.

The popular burger joint has a trending hashtag, “#MakeItAHabit,” in order to advocate for the national anti-hunger organization called No Kid Hungry. The Habit Burger Grill offers free Charburger with Cheese to use on your next visit when you donate $2 or more to the No Kid Hungry campaign at any participating Habit Burger Grill locations. According to the website, “last year The Habit contributed over $400,000 to No Kid Hungry, providing more than 4 million meals to kids in need.”

“It’s really great to see a corporation give back to those in need, I will definitely be participating in this campaign,” Tristan Rodenborn (Junior/Kinesiology) said.

The Habit Burger Grill is known for its famous charbroiled burgers, however, they also offer a variety of appealing deli-type sandwiches, salads, fries and a selection of shakes, malts and cones.

“The Grilled Chicken Sandwich with avocado, is the best item on the menu! Even though they are known for their burgers their deli sandwiches are delicious,” Lasley Garcia (Senior/Kinesiology) said.

A fan-favorite at the Habit Burger Grill is the Tempura Jalapeño Charburger, which delivers spice and quality. This Charburger contains a flame-grilled beef patty with crispy tempura battered jalapeños with spicy jalapeno ranch mustard, and much more. It was the most-requested item last year and the Burger officials had to bring it back. If you can get your hands on one, please do, because it is only offered for a limited time throughout the year.

For the Veggie lovers, the Habit Burger Grill offers its delicious Veggie Burger with a veggie patty on a toasted wheat bun, lettuce, fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, with honey Dijon dressing. Moreover, you can substitute any meat patties and turn any burger into a Veggie Burger.
