The Vista opened its doors for housing and student residents from Stan State have had the opportunity to experience life at these new dormitories.  

Located directly across the street from Stan State, The Vista welcomes students and commuters from around the area who are looking for new student housing complexes.

Yulisma Lomeli (senior, Liberal Studies) moved into the Vista in the beginning of Fall 2017 semester.
 “It’s super convenient because it is right across from school so I get to just walk to my classes,” says Lomeli.

The Vista offers many amenities that they can access that’s included in their monthly rent. The amenities include a resort-style pool, outdoor TV lounge, volleyball court, game room, private study rooms, theater, basketball court, computer lab with free printing, and a 24-hour fitness center.

Felipe Umanzor (sophomore, Liberal Studies) enjoys not living under supervision.
“The best part is that I’m given the freedom I want and I enjoy every bit of it,” says Felipe Umanzor.

Gates surround the The Vista community to provide residents with a sense of security.

Residents are issued a key card in order to enter the gated community and the buildings, as well as a remote control in order to open the gates.
Desirey Ormonde (junior, Liberal Studies) is a resident of The Vista.
“I do feel secure here because the gated community and the devices we have to get in and out of buildings and gates. That’s always nice to have and I don’t feel in danger at all”, says Ormonde. 

Umanzor also appreciates the steps the Vista takes to keep their residents safe.

“ I feel super secure here. They have security guards during the day and night roaming the premises”, explains Umanzor.
In addition to the amenities and security,  The Vista is also pet friendly.

“It’s nice to have my dog here as well because most places in Turlock don’t allow dogs over 25 pounds, if they allow them at all,” says Ormonde.

Ormonde also adds,”The best part about [The Vista] is that the staff hold a lot of events for us college students and they are really fun.”
