Students at Stan State have a new opportunity for a Spring Break trip to Rosarito, Mexico. Students can become ambassadors to help promote this trip, or simply sign up for this $400 all inclusive trip.
This opportunity is being organized through JusCollege, a site that specializes in group bookings for college campuses. JusCollege offers a variety offers a variety of destinations for students to choose from with all-inclusive packages and flexible dates.
Josh Fakhri, program director for JusCollege, came to Stan State searching for student ambassadors. He said, “Our focus is to expand to our smaller schools, where people don’t get to do as much.”
Bornil Ghatineh (senior, Kinesiology) became a student ambassador not only because it would be his first time in Rosarito, but also for the networking experience.
Ninos Alkhas, who works with Fakhri, was able to work with JusCollege after graduating and gained experience in sales and management. “It’s a lot more than just a party,” he said.
This all inclusive trip includes food, drinks, a four night stay at a hotel, and transportation from San Diego to Rosarito for around $400.
Monique Bravo (junior, Geography) was able to get a discounted rate by signing up before November 30. She said, “I am someone who likes adventures, it is something I can do to make memories and can be able to look back and say yeah I did that.”
Valarie Purvis (senior, Psychology) signed up after hearing that her friend Monique had signed up. She said,“ I wanted to do something different”.
Fakhri’s goal is for more students to know about this program. They are hoping for about 100 students to sign up, and so far already have 55 students signed up this month. After this year, they are hoping that the word of mouth can help spread this into an annual experience for Stan State students.
