This month, the Recognized Student Organization (RSO) President’s Meeting covered the importance of audience engagement with WarriorHub profiles and events. In the meeting tips and ways to involve more members in your group, organization, or club were discussed.
Getting more feedback and involvement from students, staff, and community members is helpful when you run an organization, club, event, etc. The Stan State WarriorbHub is a great way to increase this feedback and involvement.
Reaching a wider audience and announcing your upcoming events could be a bit of work, especially when it comes to giving out the details.
Student Organizations and Sorority and Fraternity Coordinator, Julie Anaya, led this month’s All RSO President Meeting and discussed ways to further your organization’s reach, engage your audience, and connect with people to discover more of your future events.
Anaya gave directions on using WarriorHub and guided attendees on how to correctly create upcoming events and meetings. “You want to make sure you are putting your events into WarriorHub because there are key pieces that will level up your engagement,” says Anaya. WarriorHub has the latest upcoming events, and that is where it’s best for your events and meetings to be posted.
Not only can you just enter basic details like date, time, and online locations, but Anaya also mentions how to RSVP and personalize invitations to friends and others.
“You can invite specific people and you can invite and import a whole list of people especially to your event … specifically invite them, they’re going to feel really special when you invite them, explained Anaya”
This tip is a great way to get accepted invitations. Sending them a personal email invitation is even better. Your guests will feel more acknowledged and want to be part of your group.
Keeping track of attendance of your event is important especially if it’s a meeting that members need to be present for. WarriorHub is able to import a list of people who attended your event. “With the list of people you can track attendance and show specifically who checked in for that event. So it’s super easy to check everybody in.” Anaya finds WarriorHub best to keep track of who of your members is most active and keeping up with events and meetings.
“The news feature is a great way to keep organization members and students engaged. You can use this as a blog post!” explains Anaya. A great way to upload blog posts of your group is by adding your content into the News Feature of your WarriorHub organization profile.
“People can just be able to go to the news post and click on the session and easily access it from there. It’s a great way to keep people engaged if you are doing an event and need a place to put your agenda with your link etc.,” Anaya says.
These tools are at your hand and you have access to increase your engagement with your own members. Get your members involved and keep track of who is active. “You have these tools at your disposal, they are here for you to use and make sure you are taking advantage of that,” says Anaya.
Because of the advanced technology that WarriorHub has, you have these tools at your reach to help you increase your audience engagement and group growth.
