Celebrating holidays has proven to be a challenge this year as the coronavirus pandemic continued, but as always, we are here to remind you that the fun doesn’t have to be cancelled. Below are some meals
Dinners
The holiday season is a time where many families get together and enjoy a nice meal together. Usually going out together to a nice restaurant is an option, but with the pandemic leading most restaurants to close and prevent indoor and outdoor dining, take-out, delivery or drive-thru’s are the safest options to get restaurant quality foods. You can even use your food delivery apps such as DoorDash or Grubhub to order the food you and your family are craving to eat.
Want a more fresh out of the oven kind of dinner? Gather up your friends and family (safely of course) and try cooking a dinner.
The Food Network website offers tons of dinner ideas to get you in the cozy, winter mood.
Of course, don’t let the winter themed foods stop at dinner. Continue the holiday fun with some baked goods! If you don’t have a lot of time, it’s not a problem. The Food Network also offers some recipes that will take an hour or less to bake.
Holiday Activities
What’s the holiday season without steaming cups of hot cocoa or coffee? Grab your coziest blanket, put on your favorite pajamas, and make a warm drink to cope with the chilly winter air.
Finding activities to do in a pandemic state like this has been hard. It’s especially harder since family and friends can’t meet up and gather. There must be adjustment, and there are many fun ways to do that.
Make a gingerbread house or have a gingerbread house competition. Make holiday themed cookies. Watch some classic holiday movies. Talk to any family and friends virtually if you’re not able to see them face to face. Have a competition to see who can make the best hot cocoa.
