According to the University Police Department’s (UPD) crime log, the month of March has kept campus officers on the go.
March mainly consisted of service patrols around campus, traffic stops/enforcements, a couple of health incidents and several responses to suspicious activities, none of which led up to an incident or arrest.
However, on Mar. 21, UPD did assist in the warrant arrest of John Shamon. Shamon was arrested and booked off campus based on a Pleasanton Police Department felony warrant, a Ceres Police Department misdemeanor warrant and a Turlock Police Department misdemeanor warrant. No actions or injuries were reported during this arrest.
This month’s UPD crime log shows yet another perfect example of the willingness of the police department to respond and take actions in any situation, on and off campus. Whether it is an emergency or a service, police officers are here to help Stan State and its community.
