ASI & USU blowout sale on all office supplies and school merchandise that ended on Feb. 21.
There was a mixture of both faculty and students shopping around. The flow in the room created a sense of urgency to pick something up and buy it, even if it wasn’t necessary.
From shirts to binders to keyboards, the game room was filled with many things to buy.
One student bought five shirts and only spent a total of three dollars. She was astounded and immediately called her roommates advising them to run down “before all the good stuff is gone.”
The Game Room was filled with life and excitement unlike the current state of the ASI & USU building, which was something straight out of a horror film. The room was motionless. There was nobody there nor noises whatsoever. The humming of electricity was not heard. Birds outside the windows seemed to be muted by this room and the only noise was the shutter of the camera. Flyers of past events were scattered on the floor in front of a vacant cubicle only to collect dust and dirt.
Parts of the ceiling weren’t fully set, exposing both wires and vents that branched off throughout the room. The fixtures above were turned off and the only source of light came from outside.
The New ASI & USU building will be finished by January 2020. This improvement takes part of the updating of other campus buildings. The Vasche Library will also be receiving a makeover within the upcoming years.
There are still many changes are needed in Stan State’s revamping. Students that aren’t as enthusiastic as others, make sure to take advantage of these buildings “before all the good stuff is gone.”
