According to the University Police Department’s (UPD) crime log, the police department responded to 26 incidents for the week of Nov. 5-9.
Bicycle Theft
Nov. 6 at 7:30 p.m. UPD investigated the theft of three bicycles from the Village in Housing.
On Nov. 8 at 9 p.m., a student reported theft of her light blue Roadmaster 24” women’s mountain bicycle from the Village.
Traffic Accidents/Collisions
UPD investigated a non injury accident between a grey 2001 Toyota Corolla and a 2018 Mercedes Class 250 Nov. 7 at 12:15 p.m.
Hate Crime
Unknown suspects used a black marker to put offensive graffiti on a wall in the first floor men’s room in Bizzini Hall on Nov. 8 at 3 p.m.
Suspicious Person/Circumstances
UPD responded to two subjects collecting cans on the north fire lane near the gym on Nov. 5 at 2:11 a.m.
A subject was found sleeping behind trash can on Nov. 5 at 7:46 a.m.
Four to five juveniles seen were riding bikes and scooters through the fieldhouse on Nov 6 at 7:14 p.m.
UPD responded to assist with a discarded item on Nov. 8.
UPD responded to a report of subjects in the Student Union construction site on Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m.
Warrant for Arrest
One warrant for arrest this week on Nov. 7. The arrest was off campus, but the subject was arrested and later released.
Incidents
A student reported she twisted her ankle walking in parking lot 11 on Nov. 5.
UPD found Art Room 36 unlocked and exterior door to Room 14 propped open on Nov. 6 at 2:30 a.m.
A student became ill in class and was transported to the hospital for evaluation on Nov. 6 at 6:06 p.m.
A student injured an ankle in a fall in Lot 6, was taken to Health Center for further treatment on Nov. 7.
A female student wanted information about how to obtain a restraining order on Nov. 7 at 3 p.m.
UPD contacted a student who led a group of people to use chalk to write on the cement in the quad area to vote in the elections on Nov. 5 at 10:30 p.m. The student received permission from ASI, but UPD was not aware of the chalk writing permission.
