According to the University Police Department’s (UPD) crime log, the police department responded to 33 incidents for the week of October 8th to 12th.
October 8, 2018
On Parking Lot #11 a student was stopped and warned for driving with a broken tail light.
At 3:58 pm, there was a report of larceny-theft of approximately $130 dollars in change from the Canteen Vending machine in the Drama Building where the lock was drilled and damaged. There was no suspects or witness.
October 9, 2018
One student was arrested, cited, and released on a warrant for driving with no license. Another student was issued a citation for not wearing a seatbelt.
At 1:00 pm, there was another report of burglary theft from the Canteen Vending machine. The Canteen Vending employee reported the theft of approximately $200 dollars in change as well as $300 in damage to the vending machine located inside the Drama Building.
October 10, 2018
At 3:40 pm, there was a warrant arrest that occurred off campus. The subject was booked at Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
October 11, 2018
At 9:00 am the UPD issued a citation for a student for an expired registration on Tuolumne Way. A suspicious person was also seen fixing a bike behind a utility box at 3:08 pm.
There was also a traffic incident between two vehicles located in Parking Lot #4. At 8:00 pm, the UPD assisted a Village resident in helping remove her bicycle from the phase One racks.
October 12, 2018
A vehicle was stopped for no tail lights on Mariposa Drive at 12:02 am. Roughly around 5 incidents of open doors were reported from 12:00 am to 2:00 am.
The Gymnasium had the east doors propped open with a hat.
At 3:55 am, the UPD assisted the Turlock Police Department with an at-risk missing person. The person was later found and returned home.
