CSU Stanislaus Warriors were triumphant against the CSU East Bay Pioneers in 4 sets on Friday, September 21. The Lady Warriors won 3-1 against the Pioneers. The win puts the Warriors at 2-3 in the season.
Warriors took set 1 with a score of 25-20. The Lady Warriors fought but fell short in the second set 25-19. The Warriors came back and took sets 3 and 4,with a score of 25-16, and 25-20.
The watchers in the crowd enjoyed the game. Ryan Mill, (Junior, Computer Science) said, “I thought the game was good. I had a lot of fun at the game so I definitely would want to go to more.”
The Warriors worked their way to victory with the help of Senior, Alana Wilson-Reid who had 20 kills. Behind Wilson-Reid was sophomore, Yisel Perez with 12 kills and 1 ace.
The Lady Warriors played hard all 4 sets, and each time they were down they fought there way back to even the scores. The Warriors’ hard work paid off with the win against the Pioneers.
Jenny Pham, (Senior, Nursing) said, “I think communication and hard work helped us win tonight. The team was able to come together and play as one.”
Clay Suggs (Junior, Business) stated, “The rest of the season I am looking forward to seeing more kills from our players, and the crowd hyping up the players.”
