Nuestra Reina is an annual pageant-style event hosted by the Nu Alpha Kappa (NAK) fraternity at CSU Stanislaus.
NAK member Santiago Perez (Senior, Public Health Promotion) said the goal of Nuestra Reina is to empower women on campus.
“Stan State is majority women, and we want them to be recognized,” said Perez.
Perez said he hopes to see more participation from other student organizations in next year’s event as this year’s contestants were only made up by sorority members.
The winner of Nuestra Reina receives $200 toward their philanthropic institution of choice, a crown and a bouquet of red roses.
Last year’s Nuestra Reina returned to the event to crown this year’s winner. Check out the full video to experience the event and find out who took home the crown this year.
