The Turlock Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Main Street in downtown Turlock. The market features local vendors and businesses offering a variety of products and goods.
There are several vendors and artisans selling a variety of different products, from fresh foods and jams to all natural skincare products. There are even activities for younger kids, including free face-painting booths.
One of the booths that has popped up at the farmers market is Jars of Delicious. They sell jams, jellies, fruit butters, canned fruits and pie fillings.
Janet Hill, a Hughson High student, was manning the Jars of Delicious booth and explained, “I’m a Junior at Hughson High and I’m involved in a lot of agriculture stuff. A lot of our regular customers come out and support and join our fundraisers. They become like a family in a way.”
Hill shared how Jars of Delicious offers 175 different flavors and is going on its 14th year of business.
“We use a low sugar recipe, there’s nothing of the extra things that aren’t good for you,” explained Hill.
Coffee Dudes Co., an ethically sourced coffee company, based in Atwater California also makes appearances at the Turlock Farmers Market. They offer unique coffee flavors inspired by their Latin American heritage.
Erik Justo (Co-owner of Coffee Dudes Co.) stated, “We started roasting coffee in 2021 with the idea of flavoring coffee using real spices. We took influence from our background.” He added, “The farmers market gives the community an opportunity to meet and try out things within the community.”
The Turlock Farmers Market provides an off-campus option for Stan State students, including residential and commuter students. The market features coffee booths with a variety of drinks and vendors selling fresh produce. A jewelry booth also offers permanent bracelets.

“I think off-campus events can also help students build community. I think the Turlock Farmers Market would be a great way for students to get to know each other and obtain the things they need.”
