Knock, knock? Who’s there? Comedy show! February may be the shortest month, but it is not short on laughs. University Student Union will be hosting a free comedy show at California State University, Stanislaus in the Event Center, on Feb. 19th at 7:30 p.m.
This comedy show will feature funny comedian Jeff Richards. Richards is best known for his performances on Saturday Night Live as “Drunk Girl” and on various episodes on MADtv. Richards is also known as the first actor to be on the cast of both SNL and MADtv.
Jeff Richards left California to attend the University of North Carolina. After leaving the school, Richards traveled across the country as a stand-up comedian. Richards joined “Saturday Night Live” in the 2001 season as a featured comedian. He then joined the main cast after high success rate. His characters include: Drunk Girl and infant pop-star “Baby-K.” His impressions include: Bill O’Reilly, Gary Busey, and David Letterman.
The stand up comic will be one of three comedy show series that USU will be hosting. KC Hall, the USU Facilities Coordinator states this comedy show is open seating, “We did this show last semester and we are expecting an increasing crowd,” Hall said. “I’m excited to bring an entertaining and modern comic to the university for student enjoyment.”
Comedy night is at 7:30 p.m.- 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 19, in the event center. For more information visit University Student Union Building or contact them at (209) 667-3833.
