Looking for a good spook? The Warrior Activities Center (WAC) will become a haunted house on Halloween day from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for students to enjoy.
For the first annual Halloween Open House, Associated Students Incorporated (ASI) and the University Student Union (USU) are collaborating to make their slice of the campus a little more spooky.
“[Our goal is to] entertain students and have a good time, whether it’s Halloween or Christmas,” Victor Jimenez, ASI Graphic Designer, said.
Last year ASI and USU had a Halloween decorating competition, with a reenactment of Tupac’s death downstairs and a “Criminal Minds” atmosphere upstairs.
This year the groups are joining forces to assemble the ultimate haunted house.
“[We get to] bond together as an office,” Lyzz Zaragoza, Interim Program Assistant, said.
“It’s fun because we get older staff to participate when they normally wouldn’t.”
Through the front doors of the WAC, into the lobby and upstairs in ASI, the building will be disguised as a zombie hospital.
Expect anything from “The Walking Dead” to “World War Z.” Goosebumps are guaranteed for those who approach the open house.
Light refreshments will be offered.
“[We want students] to enjoy the free, exhilarating experience of the Student Union,” KC Hall, ASI Wellness Coordinator, said.
So if you’re looking for a thematic break around lunch time, stop by the WAC next week on Halloween.
