As midterms come to a close, a nice day off to enjoy the crisp bay air and the smell of hotdogs sounds pretty good.
Associated Students Incorporated (ASI) and the University Student Union (USU) are offering a Weekend Warrior trip to the Bay Area to watch the Oakland Raiders take on the Philadelphia Eagles on Nov. 3.
“This trip will be a great way for our students to unwind after midterms and experience what the Bay Area has to offer,” Tina Imani, Recreation Assistant, said.
For $55, students receive a ticket, a meal and transportation to and from the game. Attendees will ride a Storer Coachway bus for the duration of their travel. On the way to the Oakland Coliseum the bus will stop for breakfast.
Whether or not students are Raiders or Eagles fans, they can still enjoy the sights of the Bay Area along with the lasting memories they’re sure to make.
“We believe having a great education is very important,” Imani said. “Getting involved in healthy activities and experiencing new things is just as important as [a student’s] academic status.”
Since the game takes place in the Bay Area at the Oakland Coliseum, the weather may be a bit chillier than here in the valley, so be sure to take your favorite sweater along. All sign-ups are done in the University Student Union (USU). The last day for students to put their name on the list is Nov. 1. Be sure to hurry on over because this trip is selling out fast.
This is an opportunity students don’t want to miss out on.
The atmosphere that fills the stadium at a NFL game is something that can’t be experienced anywhere else.
Don’t forget to head over to the USU to reserve your spot for the game and check out other upcoming Warrior Weekend trips offered.
