The life of a college student can be pretty rough. There always seems to be a lot on our plate, but we’ve got to learn how to take some time for ourselves to unwind. Why don’t you take off that thinking cap for a while, and flip on the TV for some relaxation. Whether you’re a thrill seeker, or just looking for a few laughs, here are some shows to keep your eye on.
“New Girl” is a fairly new series that runs on Fox. It is going into it’s third season, which begins next Tuesday at 9 p.m. This quirky comedy about four roommates trying to find their way in life will make you laugh out loud every 10 seconds. I can guarantee you will stay entertained watching the awkward love triangles and mischievous adventures.
“The Walking Dead” is going into it’s fourth season, premiering Oct. 13 on AMC. It comes on every Sunday at 9 p.m., the perfect time to kick up your feet and watch a group of people try to survive a zombie apocalypse. This show will constantly keep you on your toes; you won’t even have time to blink. And don’t forget to make your end-of-the-world kit, and keep it near at all times; you never know when a “walker” might show up at your front door.
“The Voice” is a reality television show in which the contestants audition to a panel of judges who have their backs turned to them, a unique situation where the singers don’t have to worry about their outside appearance. The four judges returning to the show’s fifth season are Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera, Cee Lo Green and Blake Shelton. “The Voice” premieres on the 23 of this month at 8 p.m.
Last, but not least, “Once Upon a Time” is a series that takes you back to your childhood fantasies, but with a little bit of a twist. It delves into the unexpected pasts of many well-known fairy tale characters, and after getting a little taste of their mysterious lives, you will never be able to look at “Snow White” or “Captain Hook” the same. The third season premieres on Sunday, Sept. 29, at 8 p.m.
