The Intrasystem Concurrent Enrollment Program (ICEP) at California State University, Stanislaus now offers a wider variety of classes and campuses.
The ICEP is an online resource which allows students to take online classes from either the student’s home campus or other college campuses.
Students must be enrolled full-time in order to enroll in any online courses through ICEP.
ICEP provides students with the opportunity to safely enroll in the program, take classes at their discretion and gain credit for those classes.
In the spring if a student wishes to graduate, and they are required to take a class that is only offered in the fall at their campus, that student now has the option to enroll in ICEP. After signing up on ICEP, the student can see if the class needed is offered, take the class online and still graduate that spring.
According to CSU Stanislaus’s Enrollment Services, most online classes offered in the ICEP are general education courses, which students are welcome to take from other campuses.
However, classes towards a major must be taken from the campus the student plans to graduate from in order to count towards their degree.
Some online courses may require in class meetings. Students taking an online class from a distant campus should contact the professor to determine whether or not a face-to-face meeting is required.
Online-enrollment options through ICEP still apply in the very same way to regular classes: students have till the census date to add or drop a class and to change the grading option to Credit/No Credit.
However, should a student wish to change to Credit/No Credit, Drop or Withdraw after the census date, the student is required to go the online course’s physical campus and follow the procedures that campus requires, according to Enrollment Services.
Students are advised to meet with an academic counselor before enrolling to determine if the online course will satisfy degree requirements. If the course does not satisfy a degree or graduation requirement, it will still count as an elective credit.
