During the last 30 days, California State University, Stanislaus Police Department has seen a variety of crimes, ranging from hit-and-runs in the campus parking lots to alcohol offenses in The Village.
The CSU Stanislaus Police Department, or University Police (UP), has been attending to these incidents, even before the Fall semester started.
The UP reported eight separate incidents of suspicious person crime.
Theft was reported six times.These thefts consisted of bikes, auto parts and items stored inside vehicles.
Suspicious circumstance crimes were reported five times.
Four violations of failure to stop at a stop sign occurred in university parking lots.
Alarm related incidents were reported four times in multiple buildings, including the Health Center and Library Building. Other alarms were reported, but they were false alarms.
Other crimes reported on campus included two incidents of vandalism, two drug offenses, two alcohol offenses, one incident of domestic violence and three hit-and-runs.
The campus blue light emergency phones were used four times, but were all reported as hang ups. The UP was contacted four times with 911 calls, but also resulted in hang ups.
Along with on-campus crimes, the UP also fights crimes that are off-campus. They provide back-up for the Turlock Police Department and assisted them 55 times over the last 30 days.
