It’s that time of the year again–time to show your Warrior pride and celebrate California State University, Stanislaus during Homecoming Week 2014.
Before the big game on Friday, Feb. 7, Associated Students Inc. (ASI) is offering a series of activities to showcase your spirit and support your homecoming nominees.
This year, CSU Stanislaus has 11 homecoming candidates in the running for Mr. and Miss Warrior, including Alex Sanchez (Kappa Sigma), Billy Hilton (S.A.A.C.), Brittany Volk (Phi Sigma Sigma), Broneil Ishaya (Theta Chi), Chris Gowans (Omega Nu Omega), Claudia Godinez (Alpha Pi Sigma), Dalia Gomez (Sigma Omega Phi), Fran O’Connor (Alpha Xi Delta), Greg Valdivia (Tau Kappa Epsilon), Jessica Bell (Alpha Phi Omega) and Nayeli Carmona (Phi Lambda Rho).
“Candidates receive entourage points at every every event where we will be judged on our performances and Warrior pride,” Chris Gowans, Omega Nu Omega nominee, said.
Gowans explained that students can show their support for a candidate by attending the ASI-sponsored events.
If you’ve yet to go attend any of the homecoming events, don’t fret–it’s not too late.
Join the homecoming nominees in the quad Feb. 6 from 11:30 a.m to 1:30 p.m. as they decorate carts and perform a skit of our Warriors bashing the CSU San Bernardino Coyotes.
Don’t forget to come out to the Homecoming Rally located in the Ed and Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena Feb. 6 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. for a night full of music, dancing and free food to get you pumped up for the homecoming game.
Dress up in red and gold on Feb. 7 to “Paint the Town Red” and show your support for our basketball players as they go up against the CSU San Bernardino Coyotes.
The women’s game will begin at 5:30 p.m. and the men’s game will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Ed and Bertha Fitzpatrick Arena where Mr. and Miss Warrior will be crowned.
